2012 CSO Annual Meeting

The next Annual Meeting of the CSO will be taking place on Saturday evening, September 8th and Sunday morning, September 9th, 2012, in conjunction with the AAO-HNSF Annual Meeting in Washington DC. We are extremely excited to have Garland Hunt, of Prison Fellowship, as our featured speaker for both our Saturday evening and Sunday morning programs.

Garland Hunt

Garland Hunt is president of Prison Fellowship. He began his tenure in July 2011. Prior to joining PF, Garland served as the executive pastor of The Father’s House and vice-president of a community ministry organization, both based in Atlanta. Before moving to Atlanta, he was pastor at Raleigh International Church, a congregation committed to racial reconciliation, from 1993 to 1999. In addition to his pastoral experience, Garland has a deep passion for ministry as it relates to Corrections. He was appointed by Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue as commissioner of the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice, a position he held from May 2010 to January 2011. Garland also previously served as a member of the Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles from 2004 to 2010. Though a native of Atlanta, Garland earned his bachelor's and law degrees from Howard University in Washington, D.C. He and his wife Eileen have been married for 27 years and are parents to three children.
